Henry's Crime: Keanu Reeves running on auto-pilot in romantic thriller

Keanu Reeves sleepwalks his way through this romantic thriller. While the supporting cast of James Caan and Vera Farmiga are in top form, the leading man looks like he's dosed up on Valium. The script's not much cop, either.
Reeves plays directionless tollbooth worker Henry who's wrongly sent down for three years after being linked to a bank job. Upon release, he decides to commit a robbery anyway, reasoning if he did the time, he may as well do the crime.
Despite the subject matter, the film is an old-fashioned amble containing little in the way of suspense - which is maybe why Reeves looks so bored - while the manner of the robbery is hardly very credible.
Henry's Crime is also a film with an identity crisis, flip-flopping between romance and drama while failing to nail either. Still, at least Caan, as an old lag, and Farmiga are on form, giving five-star performances in a decidedly three-star movie.
